This seminar is all about exhibiting and selling photography as contemporary fine art. It also positions commercial photography within a broader tradition of photographic practice, and considers the re purposing of commercial images for different clients and markets. It also discusses the commercial gallery structure, protocols, dealers, valuers, and collectors – who they are and what they are looking for. Contemporary distinctions between content and style, the artist as producer, and the personal versus commercial are explored in a contemporary art context.  Topics include:
