Inquiry based learning is at the heart of this workshop. It provides a comprehensive introduction to 3DLUT Creator’s sophisticated yet surprisingly intuitive, and most importantly visually oriented image editing workflow. By first understanding pictures we distinguish what needs to be done from what can be done. This clarifies how other editing applications help or hinder our process, what tools work as expected or don’t, and especially how 3DLUT Creator achieves so precisely and intuitively what other ‘industry leading’ software can’t. Through 3DLUT Creator we resolve their most pressing issues and pictorial conundrums, and thereby quickly evolve beyond their inherent colour editing and colour grading frustrations, limitations and their ‘fatal flaws’. This quickly and efficiently solves real world imaging problems while freeing up time, energy and focus that can be better devoted to other considerations.
